Racism. . .
Love. . .
Acceptance. . .
The need for justice. . .
Growing up. . .
Family. . .
Loss of innocence. . .
These themes can all be found in Harper Lee’s 1960 Pulitzer Prize winning novel To Kill a Mockingbird.
The Gallery Players are thrilled to be presenting this show as the this final production of their 2016-2017 season. Based on Lee’s novel, Christopher Sergel has managed to capture the beloved characters and craft a stage production that will take the viewer back to 1930s Maycomb County, Alabama. The story is told through the eyes of the grown up Scout (now Jean Louise).
Allen Wilkerson, a Gallery Players veteran and talented voice over actor, portrays Atticus Finch. Also appearing are Story Johnson as Scout and Eli Barnhouse as Jem. Versatile local actress Ashley Phipps plays Jean Louise. The role of Calpurnia, the Finches’ beloved housekeeper/surrogate mother, is played by Micaela Bundy, who recently appeared in Gallery’s production of Little Shop of Horrors. Antonio Brawley makes his Gallery Players debut as Tom Robinson.
We hope you’ll join us on this remarkable journey.
